HEALTH EDUCATION
SEGCP provides health information and links clients to local resources for primary healthcare services. Our focus is to have available information on Diabetes, Hypertension, Covid-19, Vaccinations, & access to food assistance. Presently, we are working with SHARE Health / Woman's Wellness Network and participate in training being offered through the network. Recently, a Youth Mental Health First Aide certification was offered to SEGCP staff as well as a Dementia Training and Virtual Dementia Tour sponsored by Heart of Georgia Altamaha Regional Commission.
We offer many services; Clothes Give-a-ways, / $10. Fill-a-Bag Events, Application Assistance, United Health Reps to assist with medicaid / medicare services, Attorney Referrals, transportation, and interpretation. In addition, we also have an Immigration Attorney who comes here to serve our immigrant community with legalization needs.
SEGCP is not a government funded organization. We depend on the generosity of its clients and our local United Way and private donors. Please help us by donating $1 dollar, $5 dollars or $10.00 per month. This will allow us to keep our doors opened and will also allow us to purchase much needed items for those most in need.
We also provide:
Pampers
Baby Formula
Depends
Bomba Socks for all.
Hygiene Products
and many other miscellaneous items.
This organization functions through the help of volunteer workers. Please be considerate, and appreciative of the service they provide.
