Farm Clinics 2008 008

Welcome to SEGCP

Our Mission:
Southeast Georgia Communities Project promotes all aspects of human dignity through advocacy and self-empowerment of low income persons, especially Latinos and Farm-workers, to become partners in problem solving and decision making, and to become contributors to the community in which they live and work.

What has Happened?

SEGCP had a successful “Cinco de Mayo” Celebration On May 2nd, on the grounds of Southeastern Technical College. Thanks to all of our sponsors and special thanks to STC and Walmart of Vidalia.

Perinatal work group! Partnerships that work:

Much progress has occurred through the perinatal work group. Vidalia Womens Center in Vidalia has worked close with SEGCP and other partners to create a system that will help many pregnant women receive healthcare. See Bright Horizons page for more information.

Georgia Southern University Geography Department assist SEGCP with Asset Mapping:

Dr. Yarbourogh and Dr. Chapman

Continue to work with SEGCP on developing our GIS to map out the community resources so we can better serve the general public.
